This cover commemorates the closing of services on the Grand Rapids and Fort Wayne Highway Post Office service HPO designates Highway Post office, RPO is as I remember Railway Post Office, RMS was Railway Mail Service and PTS was Postal Transportation Service.
The Mobile Post Office Society is the specialist group for this type of material. Dave
Thanks Stamperdude. It was in a small 1972 1st day cover collection that was given to me for helping the giver finish off his basement as an apartment for his elderly mother. I don't persue covers as they take up a lot of room.
