Here is a couple of pieces of Davey Jones' Fan Mail he gave me. He knows I'm a stamp collector and he and a few members of his band Colin {the drummer} and John J. Blair {Bassist & my cousin} send me stamps from all over the world. I really don't collect WW but I won't refuse a stamp...it's not in my blood..lol Enjoy.
The Address on the bottom you may have. The other is confidential.

Speak of the devil! I just right now got these in the mail from Davey..LOL
I got two of these but I'm not sure what they are but they appear to have identical contents. Mint Japanese postage stamps and a tiny origami swan. Can anyone read this?

the other

Little japanese leaflet soaps. I thought these were pretty cool.
The cover

The inside (the little flat soaps)

This wouldn't fit in my scanner so I just laid it atop and pressed scan! lol Someone sent Davey a big box of something! lol
Should I soak these to get them off the cardboard?

WOW That is so cool.

I wonder if those mint Japanese stamps were to mail something back to Japan with?

Just read a newspaper article on Davy Jones as a result of this post. It says he just turned 64 this year. (I wonder if he's going to collect stamps in his retirement?)

He does infact have older British and Finland <? Finnish<? collections from his youth but they just cleaned out his attic {literally} and he gave all that stuff to my cousin to give to me. I had to take down that picture of that huge boxtop loaded with stamps because I noticed it had his home address on it as well as another I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want all over the net! lol I ended up soaking the stamps off that as much as it killed me to do it but the box top was literally falling apart and some of the stamps was trashed so I salvaged what I could and cut out the addressed part and pressing them as we speak. I have quite a few things from from all the original Monkees so that old ratty looking box top needed dealt with.

Cool man, I worked on the Monkees movie that was filmed up here in Toronto called "Daydream Believers". I had a fun time on that one, lots of cool 'in-period' set dressing and the crew was a real decent on to boot.
