Just watched horrific crash at the Las Vegas Indy Car race where unfortunatly driver Dan Wheldon lost his life. I don't think I have any but does anyone have stamps depicting anything from Indy car racing.

Check out this previous thread with the Indy 500 Stamp and related cancellations and first day of issue ceremony program:

[Edit]: A sad note some profiteers are already listing ebay items such as this:

jamesw, you are so right. The guy how owes the website just waited for a car driver to die. This guy probably has one for Danica Kilpatrick also, what a sick mind he has. And what greed $5,000 for shipping, shipping what its a domain name, you get nothing in mail. He should be reported.

Well I agree that the guy that likely registered the domain name within minutes of the announcement is despicable in taking advantage of the death , taking adnatage of domains has been going on along time. I am sure many millions were made by those in the know before it became so easy. If he steps up and donates at least half to charity that would be a bit of a break but I certainly wouldn't want to be looking in his mirror. Hopefully the family has registered his name and this can be stopped legally. Prayers to the family .

I noticed that in smaller font, the seller is asking for no one to get upset. He does have a point that many millions of dollars are made using deceased famous people. I have read that Elvis makes more now than he ever did when he was alive.

Except the difference is Weldon isn't even in the ground yet. And most of the people making money off of Elvis, or Michael, or John are their estates/family.

Another Englishman to make it big at Indycar. He was living on the Isle of Man, I believe, and they issued stamps to celebrate him being world F1 champion in 1992. The next year he was also Indycar champion. Not Indycar stamp but a nice postmark.

I've always been afraid of people who watch car racing just to see someone get hurt or die...
