A very popular theme of early photo or picture postcards was humor. Humor on postcards is one of the main postcard themes in my collection. No subject matter was taboo, especially in non-United States countries.
Many local printing houses would print your photograph onto postcard stock. These examples are unused and probably printed in the 1907-1910 time period. These two cards spoof one of the two Civil War battles at Bull Run, VA and, for obvious reasons, the humor is best apparent by having both post cards.

If interested, I can show some additional post cards from my collection.

Buckeye,

Those are great! Do you mind if I print off a copy of your cards to share with my youth stamp club? Our last meeting was all about the Civil War.

I would love to see more of your cards.

Thanks for sharing.

spanishmoss - sure you may copy them (and anyone else, for that matter). I have been told that they are my great uncles, but I have not been able to prove that.
