Welcome Cul_Lector. You'll enjoy your stay here at SCF. Lots of info and help.
The beauty of the internet is you can buy from anywhere in the world, but if you want to shop Canadian (and cudos for that, shop locally when you can) then you probably can't go wrong with Unitrade.

http://www.unitradeassoc.com/products.htm

They've got everything you'll need and are certainly recognized as a Canadian authority.
Otherwise simply google stamp supplies and Canada and that should help you find a Canadian dealer.
Goodluck

I'm not from Canada (and therefore have never used this company) but a quick web search reveals this to be a Canadian firm that deals in the items you're looking for:

Welcome to the forum Cliff

I too would have recommended Unitrade just as James did. They have a lot of supplies available.

Hello the Rock. Glad to have you here.

I use the Uni Safe Perfect (what a name) plastic see through perf gauge available from Miller Lake Trading Company in Ottawa on ebay user name shopmillerlake or at
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Uni-Safe-Pe...em5ae30ed2d4

This is similar to the Stanley Gibbons plastic gauge but thinner and cheaper but works well.

Search on Stamp Community and there are pics of different gauges and tongs in different threads.

Also these guys are good also, but in Oklahoma.

Might be on ebay also I think.

Yes, Boscastle is good too. I totally missed that post, asleep or something.

You have to reply to a thread by using the click-on link at the top of the page and then that opens a message editing window which has the smileys at the left and other options all around it, including the picture icon loader and other link below the message window.

Quoting is done by the page and arrow icon above that window by the way.

Ajnabii. I was just checking out the prices at your supplier, and have to admit, I think I'll be going there next. It's actually not far from me but I assume it's all mail order, which is how they keep their prices down. I do like bricks and mortar shops. Jobs, friendly one on one service etc. But I've realized, because of my location, I'd have to go to mail order anyway. Well, I think it's happened. Thanks for the link.
