It doesn't seem worth it to me, either. But yet another case of people who will pay for less than desirable specimens if they want it bad enough.

Actually, for a final auction price of $6.69 as a "space filler", some may find it worthwhile, given that it's only about 1% of a used example in VF condition which is worth $600 or so according to the 2011 Scott catalog. The disappointing thing about it is that a severely damaged specimen as shown will probably never be worth more than a few dollars, if that, whereas a used example in VF condition has been steadily increasing in value as it was worth $425 in 2002 and now has jumped to $600 in 2011, which is more than a 40% increase over the past 9 years.

Thank the stamp gods there was free shipping. Once again a piece of junk that should be lost to the ages not handed down to the next generation.

What kind of human being would do that to such a beautiful stamp? Looks like a poor space filler waiting on a reasonable space filler. I'd prefer just having the black and white picture in the album looking at me rather than that wreck.

i would destroy anything in my possession that came close to that..i agree stuff like that should not be passed on !!
