As the fee is currently $1.00 with no limit as to the value of the order. The new rates (effective January 22, 2012) will increase that fee to $1.25 (for orders up to $50 in value) and $1.75 (for orders over $50 in value):
Not exactly unreasonable given today's costs for shipping, but just a little known extra charge that didn't typically make the newspaper headlines when the overall postage rate increases were announced.
