If it is a good topic and within my budget, I won't say no to a British stamp!

Hi, a GB and Commonwealth collector here down in Kent. Preferences are Victoria and Edward VII postmarks. Trying to get something going on Newspaper NPB postmarks. Also collect TPO's and Duplexes.
Seeing you are into Meccano, my other hobby is model railways especially Triang Transcontinental, for the TPO interest! Have fun.

Welcome Genuinely used!
I collect mainly New Zealand, Germany and pre-decimal GB, with a side interest in Airbus-related aviation items and a general all world collection that has nothing post-1970. Doesn't rule much out, now I think about it! You will find plenty of useful and friendly advice from all on this site.

Even more GB stuff......

The Owl and the cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely !O my love,
What a beautiful you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful you are!'

or

There once was a Stamp Collector,
Who left his job as a Rector,
To procure bits of paper,
A much better caper,
Than to work in the public sector !

Boom,Boom !

One more trivial GB item.....

Definitely British...

To finish with, pieces of paper !

Londonbus1.....a Proud Englishman !

Noice scans folks! I'll join in with one!

King Edward VII - 10d.
SG 311 M44(8)~ This stamp shows the 'Quoin Flaw' in it's infancy. Southwest corner... It is the tiny nick in the head plate shade 5 perf tips up left margin and 2 perf tips in from left. There is also a neat little red dot on the right hand 1 of 10.

Have a great weekend!

Skilo54

Here is my favourite page in my GB collection. There is a short mint set, a complete used set (including the big one!), various watermark and shade varieties, perfins and errors. Have also got one (so far) on postcard. In my humble opinion this is the best-looking set of stamps of the pre-decimal era.

Somewhere amongst my 20,000 or so postcards I am sure I have one with a pair of the halfpenny stamps from the 1929 set.

Now the problem of course is where

I'll see if I can find it and then post an image.

Best wishes,

Brian ....machins.

Don't collect them, but a few are kicking around. More family heirlooms than a collection.
A couple showing a little wear.

and of course my bulk KGVIs

Still unsure what to do with these.
