It is just so special to be up to your neck in stamps and or planing your next stamping move. The freshness of a good find and the way it fits into your collection. The gentleness of handling your stamps and making them safe in their new home that you have made for them. The harmony of being the one and only to decide what you will do next. To sit with a cupper and explore all the things that can be done next to your collection. To share your excitement with others on our SCF. etc etc etc.
Always Happy Stamping. KGV

What a great outlook and such a refreshing post to read first thing in the morning. Thanks for reminding me about why I should enjoy stamps collecting and value everyone here at SCF. Well done. |

KGV Collector, have you ever put a valued new find away and never been able to locate it.? After decades of accumulations I wonder if they will turn up in the simplest domestic location. If only there was some way to remember where I put the Inverted w/m'd stamps.

Hi to all Hows this for funny My wife tells me I have too many stamps and I should get rid of some, so what does she do every week, checks the local thrift shops to see if they have any stamps. every week she comes home with at least five or six plastic bags of stamps each bag has at least 50 stamps, most of them are modern, but some are salted with early Australia or world stamps. This week I have found some early Twentieth century Austria and some early Australia in the bags. I will never understand the reasoning of women even if I live to be 300, but I love my wife dearly. Regards, Horamakhet |

I need to lose a lot of weight, so while cutting back on food I get hunger attacks. So I told my wife I needed to take my mind off of food so when I felt hungry I was going to just go work on my stamp collection. I haven't eaten in 15 days.
(Well, truthfully, it does help get over those hunger feelings.) |

I still think I am the most blessed person around when it comes to good health because of a life changing experience that lead me to a deeper level and understanding of stamping and my family. 11 years ago today the doctors said after the operation to remove bone and the discs from my spine and replace it all with some poor persons thigh bone I would never walk again. They said I needed to get use to the idea of a chair. Well I beat the odds or they did and I can still walk plus I get to stamp when I like. I still feel like the luckiest person around and just so blessed. On top of stamping I get to spend heaps of time with my family who are all just so special. So hows that for stamping and good health. KGV |
