Can someone verify this may be a Sri Lanka item?
I am concerned with the Lion in the image, tending to make me think it may be another country. Any help?

It is indeed Sri Lanka (Ceylon). That is the style of the Ceylon lion, including how it appears on the coat of arms.

The script at top also identifies it as from Ceylon.

However, I do not have a stationery catalog, so I cannot help you there.
