Saw this article on stamp collecting today in conjunction with the CHICAGOPEX going on now here in Chicago. I may go -- havn't been to a stamp show in a long while.

Good one vac man!
A very switched on statement about our hobby as it is now.

The on-line stamper has saved stamping seems to be the catch cry of the modern times of our hobby.

It is my opinion as well but I have the on-line stamper saving to PO's as well.

Just a quick observation. The 50 year old dealer quoted in the article felt that he was often the youngest guy in the room by stamp shows. But I (being 40) would guess that the average age by a stamp show is likely older than the average collector. Retirees have more time to attend shows! Even if the show is on the weekend, retirees who have the week free to attend to other matters are more likely to have the weekend free to attend the show!
