I have a stock book with a lot of 1d red die11 KGV's somewhere. I have been looking for about 6 months for them now. I just do not know where to look next.

Maybe a rat ate them. Where else could they be?

When I was living in Tuvalu in the 1980's, the problem was cockroaches eating the stamp. I have some Very Fine Chewed covers I must find and post

We live on a 10 acre mostly bush block and we have had a rat or 2 or 3 the past couple of months so had to lay poison. Even the dog caught one.

Nice Youtube rendition,
and a very unusual MS from Mali.

We are also in the country, and our neigbour across the road
has a cat that catches a lot of mice.
(we have pet sheep next door)
I can tell you it is not a pleasant thing to witness.
The cat plays with the mice some time before dispatch.

Hi,Found this little "gift" by the outside bedroom door. Peg to show size - big,but I have seen others bigger. While I was taking the photo, the resident rat catcher came along and sat there waiting for her photo to be taken as well.

Here are a couple more rat catchers.

Pied Piper of Hamelin, Germany

Pied Piper of Korneuburg, Austria

More here about these legends which I believe were probably based on some factual events.http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/hameln.ht...gdalenagrund

I guess it gives credo to the old adage that the early bird gets the worm, but the 2nd Mouse gets the Cheese.

Well, this thread is getting a little disgusting, but that Pied Piper of Korneuburg is awesome.

I have had mice get into a box full of my issues of Linn's Stamp news a few years ago. That reminds me I need to replace my traps in the attic again, winter is here.
