This is the pride of my football stamps (real football, not like American and Aussie football, where the ball spends more time in the hands than on the foot). I bought this stamp new in 1966 when England won the World cup ( I don't think they have won it since). I was told it might me worth something one day, so I wrapped it in glassine and that is where it remains today. Untouched my human hand for 42 years and guess what, it's still only worth about 70c. I just worked out that if I had left my 4 pennies (10 cents)in the bank with a compounding interest at 5%, I would now have 77c, less any tax I would have paid along the way. So I may actually be in front.
