I was introduced into stamp collecting from my grandfather and he from his father (my great grandfather). Here is a cover my great grandfather received from the Scott Stamp and Coin Company in January, 1900. Do you have any early covers from a stamp company?

Check out the FIFTH POST on this previous thread, containing some interesting trivia on the Garcelon Stamp Company. I know they were in business through 1975, and I understand they went out of business when the owner retired shortly thereafter. Never knew they were on the Canadian side of the border, while using a Calais, Maine address: https://goscf.com/t/9483 |

Here is a RF Albrecht cover. He was a stamp dealer and auctioneer in the 1890's. Also a carrier authenticated by him. |

Unfortunately this one isn't mine -- I merely came across it when surfing the internet. However, the postcard is quite clever in its period promotion (1890) of a "stamp affixer" so I thought I'd post it: |

My goodness: trying to find this thread was terrible...I remembered reading through this one a while back and finally found a contribution..well sort of I guess. Mine is not all that old either, but from Cuba to the US is kind of nice. |

Thanks ncbuckeye. I'm getting to where I love covers more and more. I think it is SCF's fault. |

Here are six more stamp dealer covers that haven't been shown in this thread. While not turn-of-the-century covers, all of them are older than me so I am calling them "early." These aren't dealer covers but they have a philatelic connection so I thought I'd share (sadly, I'm older than the Texas cover!). |

This one's not old (don't know what the date would be) but kind of fun. Harold Hollander Philatelic Auctions from Hout Bay S.A. with a Capetown triangle printed on the cover. |

Here's a dealer cover from our old friends at the Scott Stamp and Coin Co. The cancel looks to be 1913 which would make the stamp a SC#405. |
