I just bought a whole mess of Madonna and Child stamps for use on my Christmas cards. The stamps come on booklets and cannot be separated easily like the self adhesive sheets, which have a perforated back and can be torn apart cleanly.

How should I be harvesting these stamps? Should I use the stamps around them and then just cut around the stamp, or is there some other method of harvesting?

Also, is there a preferred stamp from the sheet? 3 sides perforated? 2 sides perforated? No perforation on the bottom, top, right or left?

I would just trim the backing paper around the stamp that you want to keep unless you want to soak them in acetone to remove the adhesive.

Personally I would save the bottom two stamps and then trim the backing paper so its about half a stamp's length. This way you can easily recognize the pair as from a booklet.
