Horses are a popular topic to collect on stamps.
However, whatever your friend paid for them doesn't necessarily mean they are going to sell for that now.
Rare stamps sell for more and stamps people want sell for more and stamps in really good condition sell for more.
Little pieces of art some think of them as.
If your small collection is like a lot I've seen on
ebay online then the stamps are most likely only worth pennies a piece.
But if you have rare stamps in great condition then the story could be different.
If you or your daughter are on
ebay or such like web sites you could look around on there and kind of get an idea of what sells and for how much.
I could be and hope I am way off base by telling you all of the above, as you may have some really nice stamps and they are worth a lot to thr right people.
A scanner is usually available at your library and then you could email your photos scanned to yourself and add them to a topic you start in the regular forum where more people will see it and everyone could chime in with some help and advice and opinions.
Or a camera would work also, the newer digital type, so you can use their photos and put them on photobucket.com or flickr.com or whatever phpto hosting site and put a link in your topic on here. Sometimes camera photos are really big in file size so they go over the size allowed to add to the Stamp Community database but you can still stick them somewhere else and put a url link on here.
Or, if no scanner / camera is available can you tell us here some of the country names on the stamps or years issued? Are they in sets from one country or a mixture from a lot of countries?
