Anyone know what this is. Staats -Taxe. State Tax I assume. Looks to be from France, maybe Germany. Has a light purple overprint that reads 15 Feb. 193?

Yes, it is Swiss; a cantonal revenue from Grisons.

I don't think that is an overprint; I think that is the method used to cancel it. There are a couple catalogues that detail the Swiss cantonal revenues, but I don't have any. I suppose I should flip through Byrum, but I'm pretty sure they are not in there.
