KG5 collector..i think that 6 weeks sounds about right..i would like to see it turn up by the end of January.....if it were a dollar item I bet it would fly to the buyer..a 15 dollar item could be bad luck !
I send and receive a fair bit of mail with India, not all of it registered, and I can't recall off-hand any of it ever going astray. Delayed, yes - particularly around major holiday times (Diwali, Christmas, Id ul-Adha). I'd also suggest patience, and if it doesn't turn up by the end of January, it may well be the exception that proves the rule.
