Used to be into stamps decades ago. Just dug up my pop's old Triumph Album from the 1930's which I inherited. You can imagine an album this old is not in the best shape but its got a lot of cool countries that no longer exist. As a youngster I tried to add to the collection whenever I could, but never really got into the hobby. I used to enjoy looking at the stamps as I thought they were beautiful works of art.

If I decide to sell the collection, is it better to sell it page by page or the whole album intact. I've seen people on ebay sell a Triumph page by page.

Welcome deadmunny, It is your choice to sell, but to keep it going would be a a good way to again enjoy there beauty of the stamps again.

How to sell it depends a lot on what is in the book. So I would take a little time to figure out what you have. You can find a stamp knowledgeable friend or makes some scans for us. Lots of ways to do it, but most of all WELCOME to SCF. - Jeff

So often in our hobby the first thing that enters the minds of people who inherit a collection is 'how much can I pocket out of this', so sad that 99.9% of these inherited collections cannot buy a second hand lawnmower.

Best of luck in your quest. If you scan the first pages of countries like the US, Canada and Great Britain. we may be able to give you a bit of a clue. I agree with finches and jhovell, if you don't want to take it up, maybe somebody you know will.
