anchor1114 - first - welcome to the forum. You will find a wealth of information here, and we all hope you can contribute also. As far as avatar request, the moderators complete avatar requests once a month. Depending on the time of the request, it can take up to 4 weeks. So --- patience is the name of the game!

A very good couple of ours has adopted 3 Chinese children over the past 12 or so years. I made each of them a "poster" with the new Year of the Dragon stamp and first day cover.

can this usps year of the dragon go up in the future?.

Highly unlikely, as the USPS print run for the Year of the Dragon (YOTD) issue is 72 million stamps. Even the recently issued Heart Health stamp has a print run of only 50 million.

So there's 44% more YOTD stamps on the market than most other commemorative Forever stamps, likely an intentional move because of the anticipated popularity of the YOTD stamps.

I'm wondering too if USPS anticipated international interest in the YOTD stamp. I've already sold two to SCF members in Asia.

72 million dragon stamps not even fit the 1,350,000,000 chinese population. remember stamps collecting in asia is considered the most popular hobby than in u.s. see the australian dragon silver bullion one ounce coin sold out immediately. rumor say only few dealers clear them all.
