I am already finished mounting my used stamps on my album, now Mint stamps are next but I am really confused on how to mount them since I only have hinges for my used stamps and 90% of my collection is Postally used. My mint stamps are only those newly issued stamps from our Central P.O. and my real problem is materials for mounting mint stamps here in my country is very expensive and outrageous.

stockbook costs P2,600 or $65
stamp mounts costs P600 or $15

Do you know any alternative way to mount mint stamps?
Do wrapping them in a acid-free plastic sleeves are good?

Thanks in advance,
John

Those are the only two ways I know of. I use Scott split back black mounts personally.

Use mounts. The cost of plastic sleeves may be much lesser but for a longer run the mounts are the best way to protect MNH stamps

Your hinges are ok for most used stamps but valuable used stamps and unused stamps should be mounted some kind of crystal or showguard mount so as not to disturb the gum on the back.

Showgard black mounts are my preference. You can order online for good prices from several outlets but not sure what shipping would be to your casa.

But anything mint of value should be mounted.
