Hi! I discovered this forum in my search for information about some confusing Canadian tagging, and so far all of my questions haave been answered correctly and quickly!

I am from Calgary, Canada, and I am currently regaining a passion for stamp collecting that I lost about 15 years ago due to school, work, and other life commitments. I am currently going through a HUGE (around 90 full albums, 25 large rubbermaid containers) collection that I inherited from my grandfather. I have started with Canada, and am transferring all the stamps out of the old bent-up albums into new ones with mounts rather than hinges. This is going to be a multi-year project, so I am sure I will have plenty of questions for the forums!

Welcome Stewart

You're very lucky to have inherited such a collection.

to S.C.F.! Sounds like you have the mother-load there and are very fortunate indeed! I would love to have your "problem", as my collection consists of no more than 4 copies of any given stamp AND very few doubles for trades and such so your in a wonderful advantage in that respect. I hope that you post lots of pics and scans for us all and will find this site as useful as I do! again,
-Jay

Hey Stewart, glad to have you join us. Tagging is still something I have not had time to get around to yet. So many other aspects to straighten out first. But at the same time I look forward to being able to check a lot of my pieces for tagging. Great to have you join up with us. - Jeff
