Hi, I have been a stamp and postal history collector for almost 50 years. This is my first experience with a forum and it was highly recommended by my friend, Antonio whom I know as a fellow stamp collector and club member. I collect 19th century WW used. I also collect the US, Great Britian, France, Italy, Germany and Ireland throughout the Classic period and US and Great Britian to date.
In the last thirty years I have been focusing on postal history. I have been trying to collect Minnesota covers from as many different cities I can find. I started this when I tried to find a cover cancelled from my home town, Fridley. It had an active post office up until 1928 which was 21 years prior to the city being incoporated. It became a branch of Minneapolis Post Office in 1928. This is not a rare cover, but I have found that sometimes the not rare items can be the hardest to find. After 15 years of looking in many shops, many shows and many many dollar boxes I found it. I have since found several more. Along the way I found a lot of cool covers from territorials to stampless to interesting journeys a letter made and so much more. And that is how a "stamp collector" becomes a "postal history" collector. My collection of Discontinued Minnesota Post Offices alone is well over a thousand covers and there is still a lot more to find.

I'm a newbie here myself, but I think its always nice to get a welcome message, and members made me feel very welcome at the start. So I hope you enjoy your time on the forum, - it sounds like you have a lot of knowledge you can impart, and I would be very interested in seeing some of your more unusual material.
