Here is an image of a stamp depicting George Herman (Babe) Ruth (1895-1948) at the plate, designed by Sports Illustrated magazine art director Richard Gangel (1918–2002), engraved by John S. Wallace, Jr. (vignette) and Gary J. Slaght (lettering), and issued by the USA on July 6, 1983, Scott No. 2046.
