At the moment I am working on a fully illustrated version of early Egypt. This project is one of the most enjoyable I have ever been involved with, as far as stamp albums are concerned, as the early Egyptian stamps are such a treat to the eye.

Also - on the basic level (watermark and perforation changes only) it seems to be rather an easy collection to comprehend. Since my albums never deal with different printing methods I am left in this case almost solely with beatiful stamps to arrange on my screen.

Here's an example of one of the pages. It's set on an A4 size page...

Thanks Dianne,

I hope to be done with it within a week or two and to make it available commercialy. After the basic layout is finished I go over the pages few times and "catch" my mistakes. After that, an English editor reviews it - and than to the printer.

How true!
always had a soft spot for Egypt, love her early stamps,
and the vast amount of interesting postmarks.
I collect multiples on page, could not be as clinical as
your page dictates, but certainly some nice work
there for the traditionalists. Well done.

One sub collection I always work to on any Egyptian stamps
that come across my desk are the Alpha coded pmks
of Alexandria. A,B,C,D,E,F etc etc.

Thanks Rod for your kind words

Obviously, when preparing a pre-printed album there is not much room for creativity: The album pages represent the basic collection (As per the publisher's definition of basic). Any individual collecting interests (such as yours in Alexandria postmarks) is bound to have album pages designed by the collector himself/herself.

Thank you Ram,
