I have been gifted 5 albums busting with stamps, of coarse not cataloged or identified. My spare time has been taken away researching.

I need help. I found a 10 penning mozart stamp issued from Altona Germany. I know the stamp was one of the first music stamps issued in the world, 1889. It is a 1 stamp of a set of four. The set consists of Schiller, Beethoven, Wagner and Mozart. The stamp is mint. I am looking for any additional information.

I am hoping some one could direct me to where I see the other three stamps.

Thanks

Do you have a scan or photo of the stamp? Germany didn't issue stamps of composers until the mid-1920s, and I don't recall a set with those four composers together.

Nevermind. Found 'em.

And here's the catalog info:

It's from Michel's Privatpostmarken-Spezial 2005/2006, Band 1: Deutsche Privatpostmarken bis 1900 (Specialized Catalog of German Private Postage Stamps up to 1900).
