HI Again?

Hi everybody,
I'm not sure if I ever posted an introduction post when I joined a while ago. I haven't been on here for a while, I signed up, looked around, then got into other stuff and forgot to come back. I collect US and WW, but I don't collect everything worldwide. Just whatever catches my fancy, or stamps with themse I like, such as ships, nautical, sea life, etc. I'm also trying to get at least one stamp from every stamp issuing entity in Scott's.
I had a question. Is this stamp forum mostly for experienced collectors who collect expensive stuff, or for small time collectors like myself who collect mostly packet material?
Also, is there any possible way to share a link to another website without violating the rules? I know of an auction site where all the listings are free, and they have a lot of stamps (in fact, I sell stamps there myself, and I've gotten a few good packets), and I'd really like for more stamp collectors to join so I could have a better market for my duplicates, as well as more of a selection of stamps to bid on for myself.

ConnieR, to the stamp community forum, which is for everybody who collects stamps - regardless. There is NO discrimination with collecting preferences or experience, join in and read members posts, an amazing source of educational info.

After 50 posts, you'll get to know members and vice-versa then it may be more appropriate to share Links. (imo)

If someone can afford expensive stuff, then you are doing better then most of us.

Welcome to the Family, as far as experienced, I am about 2 years into stamp collecting, and paid maybe $20.00 for a lot of 1,000 stamps. Na you will fit in. Now there is a lot of knowledge here and great people. It is great to have you so again welcome to our family.

We have all kinds of collectors here. The boys are right, you need to have 50 posts before you can share a link. That will go by very quickly.

You can't put an active link or a static link (one you could copy and paste to the URL and hit Return so as to go directly to the site), no.

And you can't self promote your store or user name on that site until 50 posts and 2 weeks have happened.

But, in conversation, you could say something like, hey, I think that ebay is great. Or whatever site you like BUT no www's or dot com's or anything.

For example, I look at the postbeeld site but find it somewhat hard to maneuver around in. See, you can't click on it and you can't copy and paste it really.

Just general mention for now and even that may be subject to censor if too much. This is a fun and discussion and show your stamps and talk about them site, not a sale site or an advertising site. Very low key in a way.

Thanks guys for all the posts. I'll try to get to 50 posts fast. I don't mind if I can't put an active referral link on, as long as I can mention the website. The more stamp collectors on there the better!
