Hi there - I found this in my grandfathers collection. Its not the stamps I am interested in but the postmark. I cannot find it anywhere on the internet - however very similar to one.

The bottom half says (or what I think it says) "Dermaltung" "SS-flah-Erl-Abt"

I cannot find anything with reference to "Dermaltung" and I am sure it should write "ss-flak"

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this?

Thank you in advance!(and apologies for the low-res pic)

Hello friend!

The Cancellation was used in 1939-1945 - Feldpost Number 15975 - SS-battery reserve-Flah Department 2. 191 / January 25, 1943 - July 31, 1943 - Part of the battery flak Division 191, 2nd battery heavy flak Abteilung 191 and battery anti-aircraft Division 191. Nice piece!

Regards!
Rodolfo

To add to Rodolfo's answer, I believe the first word you mention is Verwaltung, in this case probably refering to the units staff. A native speaker of German can likely give you the proper translation.

Thank you so much for your replies - very helpful indeed as could not find anything like this on the web.

I will try my best to upload a new pic tomorrow.

Rtvstamps - thanks for your input. Do you mind telling me where you got your information (or is it just personal knowledge?)

Would anyone know what the potential value of this could be ? (I know the stamps are not worth that much themselves)
