Hi all, my name is Terry Collins. I am retired and Live in England, and I have just registered on here. My main interests in no particular order are GB to 1952, Australian States, Canadian Provinces, The USA to 1945, and Egypt to 1963. I prefer used stamps with good cancels to mint stamps, though I will collect both if good specimens come my way. I don't collect every issue, only those that appeal to me for one reason or another, and I write up my own album pages. I tend not to mount stamps in date issue order, but make up pages with early and later issues and group issues together where there is some connecting relevance. This gives me a lot of leeway in album page makeup and frees me from the completism that can soak up so much cash. All advice and guidance will be very much welcomed.

Terry

Terry glad you joined up. I love the UK and it looks like you have quite a few interests that are shared with me. I also notice you are staying with more of the older stamps rather that new issues. I look forward to some great discussions. WELCOME - Jeff

Thank you all. I do mainly prefer the older stamp issues (those that my wallet can stand) but I will pick up the odd modern issue if the design grabs me.
Once I have acquainted myself with the rules and the image posting toolbox I will put some of my pages on here. I have been looking at the Egypt thread
and love some of the items shown there. I am glad I came across this site, it is certainly the best I have found.

Soon,
Terry

Greetings Terry from yet another Brit, albeit transplanted !
I once collected Egypt and I miss them as most have been sold. Still have a folder of remainders.

Have fun here and post often

Greetings Terry from yet another Brit, albeit transplanted! (Did I hear an echo?) I enjoy the older English stamps as well as those of my adopted contry, Australia. I hope you are finding this site as interesting as I am. I'm off wandering soon and hope to be able to buy a metal detector at some time. I've looked at the Detectorist forum and it is so mouth watering. I hope to visit the Golden Triangle where there are still lots of good size gold nuggets being found. Thank you SCF for such a good site!
