Tom & Rick

It is a very popular topical.. Phil, David Giles, and myself, have a trading buddy, up in Alberta Canada, who collects stamps on stamps used. Its a very difficult task collecting them used.

Daviscfad, The 1840 penny black is surprisingly affordable. I just bought one for under 100 dollars. And it is in very good condition, four margins and beautiful red maltese cross cancellation.

If you don't have one ( and no matter what your collecting interests are), you really should consider getting one. After all it is the start of all stamps. (along with the two penny blue, which is a little more expensive)
