I found this in my collection and was wondering about it. Why, if the envelope is affixed with stamps, would it be canceled as postage paid? And why in London?
I'd guess this is from a charity or similar marketing mailshot which is posting the envelope using what seems to be a very bare PPI (printed postage impression) cancel but also stamps in an attempt to reduce the likelihood of the envelope and its contents being immediately thrown away as junk mail when delivered.
