Hello All,

I posted these two with a bunch in the ebay auction lot thread that is currently still growing, but wanted to get some ideas on these two. Most likely just your regular 65s as usual, but for the price I am good with that, yet the colors on these two are definitely different than the other 50 or so that came in the lot.

They both needs a bath, but have not gotten that far with them yet and the one has an issue on the lower left hand perfs, along with having a slight bend/crease as well. The second one probably has seen better days, so even if she was pink she would be a worthless one most likely, but a nice filler for me anyway.

Sirus, the top one certainly could be pink or rose pink, but I think pink-- but you can't ever tell from an image. It really needs to be seen in person, compared to a reference copy in white light.

I think the bottom one is a faded rose 65.

Just my guess....Good Luck, Ray

Hello ray.Mac thank you as always on these. Considering condition on that first one do you think it is worth getting wiess to look at it or just enter in the album as highly possible pink 64?

Any pink is worth having Weiss look at. Neither of mine is perfect. Even at 1/10th or 1/20th of Scott, it's still sell-able for $50. If you had a Weiss ID (for $5.00), or cert ($25 for color), you would at least have a reference copy, which really would help you know how to recognize pink.....

For $5.00, why would you hesitate for an ID only?
Just curious..... Ray

Hello again ray. I apologize for taking so long to reply...life, more like work, gets in the way sometimes.

Thanks for the guidance on this. I honestly did not realize the stamp would still be worth getting certified considering the condition. Even-though as you mentioned having a reference copy would be great.

I have also never went through the process of having a stamp certified so the experience will be a new one once I get around to it. I will post the results once I get the information back on this one.

Thank you again for pushing this newbie in the right direction and hopefully this one will teach me a few things along the way.

Hello ray.Mac I thanked you in another thread but wanted to make sure you saw it, so again thanks. I sent in the top stamp and it came back as a 64b rose pink.
