This was 1939. At the time Hitler and Stalin were allies that invaded Poland. Stalin turned on Hitler and as a reward, Roosevelt gave him all of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Romania, Hungary, etc. as well as an in on Japanese islands though Russia did not fight on the Pacific front. I don't see how FDR, the father of American socialism, supporter of Communism, confiscator of America's gold, and the guy who's policies in regard to Russia gave us the cold war and led to Korea and Vietnam, and which going by recent events may not be over, has any honor whatsoever.

According to stories in one of Herman Herst's books, FDR was looting postal treasures for his own collection, as well.
