Hello

I do have a lot of foreign stamps and I want to organize them neatly. Since that I don't own any stamp album for worldwide stamps and I am only serious on collecting stamps issued on my country I am planning to mount my foreign stamps on quadrille pages (without description of the stamps) I will only do is to put the country where the stamp belongs on the top of the page. Is this a good idea?

much love in advance!

John

Hello John,

If you want to use quadrille pages, that is fine. Here is a site where you can download some blank album pages for free.
You can add the country name at the top of the page like you want to do. Maybe these will help.

Hello John, welcome!

I had a printed with pictures worldwide album for many years and the space was not enough so I had to add quadrille pages when I wanted to expand any country, which happened a lot.

I liked the quadrille pages. Helped make everything look neat and ordered.

Hi John and welcome to the forum

There is nothing wrong with quadrille pages. I have some in a few of my albums as well.

You can also mount them and arrange the stamps in any order you like since it is, afterall, a hobby to be enjoyed.

Hope you enjoy it our forum here.

John, I like using quadrille pages for adding newer issued stamps to a worldwide album was produced in the 1980s.

In your case, you state that you are only serious about collecting stamps from your country but have also acquired many worldwide stamps that need to be organized. You might consider getting Vario pages for this purpose. One page per country or several countries per page if you only have a few. The benefit of Vario pages are that you can move stamps around on the page very easily if you obtain more of them and want to have them organized by Scott number on the page.

A stockbook would be another option.

Mine are all gone and sold off years ago.

I used to arrange stamp by size so all the same size was on the same row. Simple but effective as I didn't have a catalogue to tell me how big a series was not how many varieties. Different now with the internet and SCF.
