My real name is Michael and I live in Ohio. I'm a student, studying to be a writer.
I'm mostly interested in international stamps. Some countries I'm interested in: Japan, China, Israel, Canada, and defunct countries.
I'm also interested in foreign languages and cultures, so I think they complement stamp collecting fairly well.
I'm not sure what US stamps I'm interested in, but I'm interested in stamps from 1985 (my year of birth). Stamps from World War II appeal to me for some reason.
As far as topical stamps go, I'm interested in birds and other animals.
I went to my first stamp show, which was advertised at my school, on the first Saturday of this month and I bought 1 ounce of foreign stamps, 4 ounces of US stamps, and some bird stamps.
I might join a stamp club in my area if I can.
