Hi there! I'm Mark from MI (originally from Kansas). As is probably assumed, I am a stamp collector! I actually started kind of by accident. I work at a loan service center and it's my job to process the mail in order process the loan payments. And as you can imagine there are hundreds of envelopes with stamps coming through each day! I started seeing cool stamps, so I started cutting them off the envelope and keeping them. It's been going uphill ever since than!

I'm mainly looking to trade us stamps (new and old) for foreign stamps from ANYwhere in the world :)

Aside from stamps, I play music. Guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, bass, bowed psaltery, basically anything with strings!

Hi Phil,

Welcome to the group!
You'll like it here... Lots of friendly, helpful people.
Get your 50 posts in and you can start trading.

I'll be interested in trading with you.
What are you doing with the stamps you get from work? Putting them in an album?
How long have you been able to get stamps from your work?

Kind Regards,

Dave N.
North Dakota

Thank you!
I saw that 50 post rule and am anxious to getting there lol.

Currently I am putting all of my stamps in some stock pages, and my extra ones in storage for future trades!

I've been collecting stamps from work since probably August of 2011.

Hello Phil121, mark, welcome!

50 posts comes fast really. I had had a secret dream wish to work in a mail room for an international company. lol

Do you have a camera or scanner or access to a library which hopefully should have a scanner? Then you could save the pics on a thumb usb drive and bring them to your computer and edit them and post them here. If not, well, there is lots of info on this site and links to many other sites also.

Another Michigander, here. Dad's side of the family is Polish; lived in Hamtramk. I was born at Selfridge AFB. Spent the last year and a half of my Air Force stint in the tip-of-the-thumb, Port Austin.

Welcome, Mark, from another newbie.
