Hi to all
This stamp has a misperf which is common enough I would think, but it also has a major colour shift.
How common is this item?
The stamp is MNH.

The Scott Number for your stamp is 1610 (not 1008). it's an interesting EFO. Not sure of the value, but it would likely be worth something of a premium because of the color shift, perforation shift, etc. However, this stamp was notorious for a number of such freaks and errors. Here are some examples:

Awesome! I enjoy these E.F.O.'s from this set. Aren't these known as the pentagon errors because someone that worked at the pentagon building first discovered them? Correct me if I'm mistaken by all means but that's what popped into my head upon seeing that color mis-registration.

Not exactly. Your thinking of the CIA Invert, which was an error on this issue but an INVERTED error, not the color shift error shown here. If it were the CIA error it would be worth thousands of dollars (but not in this case), as noted in this link:

Hi wt1

thanks for the info.
it is amazing to think there are so many errors with this item.
I paid 5.50 for the stamp so I think I got my money's worth. I bought it as a misperf, not a colour shift.
Regards
