Guys, could you all identify this stamp and also have a look at the cancel date reading as 20 VIII 1549. A bit confusing!Thanks.

That looks like a Belgium Railways Stamp.Issued in 1949 I dont have a Scott number for you but am sure someone can provide it. Number 9 of set of 17 perfed stamps.

Scott Nr. is Q318. Michel lists two varieties: 286A (perf. 12.5) and 286C (perf. 12x12.5) .

Hi Selva

I believe that the cancellation is supposed to read as follows:

20th of the 8th month, 15 hours, 1949 because it would reflect on railway time schedules?? Failing that, it could be that someone cancelling the stamp put a '5' in instead of a '9' by error ??
