Need Help With New Zealand & France Stamps

Hi,

1. Could someone help identify this New Zealand stamp for me. I notice that Scott (A21/22) 73 and 74 do not look like this.Notice the white on the mountains going down to the lake.



2. I need help with a Cat. number for this.This one of the Sower has the sun in it.Cannot locate in Scott!The postmark says Alexandria(Egypt).



3. Here is another stamp of France from Alexandria. Unable to locate it in Scott.

1. Don't know -- damaged stamp, inking problem...? It should be New Zealand #74(1898Apr5) or #111(1902).

2. France #139(1903). The pic for A20 in Scott is poor. There is a sun in the background of the pic.

3. France offices in Egypt #81(1927).

I do wonder about that first stamp!

Look at it with a magnifier and see if it is merely a surface scrape.

Or (normally I don't suggest doing this, but since the stamp is already pretty beat up), you can run your fingertip/fingernail gently over the area. If it feels rough, it's surface damage to the paper.
