Here's a contender for one of the ugliest looking specimens of a stamp that I've ever run across. It certainly qualifies for trash status. (Actually, it looks as if a truck ran over it ... and just maybe it did!
)
Any idea what would have caused such damage?
I think I figured out the precancel as being from Canton, Massachusetts (Type 701).
