Hi all!

I am having a lot of trouble finding the corresponding Scott# for this particular souvenir sheet: United Nations Geneva, 1976 S/S 25TH ANNIV UNPA APNU

Does anyone know?

Christy

Welcome to Stamp Community Forum, Christy!

Actually, you have me a little stumped as well. UN did not issue a S/S honoring the UNPA 25th anniversary in 1976 -- neither New York nor Geneva. Perhaps what you have is a full pane of 20 of one of the stamps? The Scott numbers are UN-Geneva #61 and #62.

Hope that helps, or maybe you could post a pic?

Kim

Could this be what you are referring to?

From the limited information I have found on the internet it appears that this "souvenir sheet" had no postal validity but was sent to standing order customers only in 1976 as a promotional piece. It is not listed in the Scott catalog.

Needless to say, the popularity of the item increased when it was learned that it was in limited production and only sent to UNPA Standing Order customers.

Ah, I didn't think about Cinderellas! Good research, Wt1! Was there a Geneva cinderella?

Yet another "cinderella" stamp issue, having no postal validity. (Note there is no denomination on the stamps).

An example is currently listed for sale on ebay at this link, referred to as 4955RD, which I assume is in reference to some Cinderella/Poster Stamp catalog. The item is not listed in the Scott catalog.

Thank you, wt1. I am not familiar with Cinderellas, but obviously there was no denomination (a BIG clue) and I completely missed that! I just started collecting stamps about a year and a half ago, so I'm still learning. :-)

Does anyone know if the ebay seller is asking a good price?
