Quote: am talking used hinges here! If I cleaned my office of all signs of philately, I fear I would still be found out due to a stray used hinge or two lying about. I can't seem to rid myself of them all! Brian |

I don't have a hinge in the house, haven't for decades. Hate 'em and would never use 'em. |

Don't you hate peeling a hinge of your bare foot? Those things stick like glue! |

I work on my stamps in the back room of a house, that room is always full of scraps of paper and so many hinges that it is impossible to clean them all up without breaking out a vacuum. Naturally, I'm terrified something particularly valuable will get eaten by the vacuum when the woman who cleans the house peaks her head in to tell me I have five minutes to get everything up off of the floor that I want to keep.
I started finding the hinges in my room one day and couldn't figure out why. Then suddenly, in the shower. I finally figured out I was tracking them in on my bare feet. I had a small laugh about this, because naturally, before I got into stamps, this was never a problem I had encoutered! Now, every day I take the time to peel the hinges off of the soles of my feet when I'm finished in the room. The adhesive on those things is obnoxious! |
