Here are some stamps that have been sitting in a box for many years and I wonder if anyone on this forum might be able to help with identifying the plates.

Plating these is not an easy task and costs hundreds of dollars for the proper reference material.

I'm terribly confused, or did I miss the joke? (or both)

The thread title says "Plating of the 2 Pence", but all the pics show 1d reds. Also, these are penny red imperfs (with letters only in the bottom corners) -- unfortunately the plate 77 for this issue is nowhere close to the value of the plate 77 for the penny red.

Sorry, Did not mean to confuse. I just returned from a long trip and need to get back into the swing of things. Any help identifying the plates would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was called the Penny Red Collector, but if you google it, it should come up
it has an address of penny stars.com
