So I'll admit my CSA collection is no where near as complete as Stampvirgins, but I'm working on it.
Here are three new additions received this week from two different back of book collections.
The first is a pair of #11s. Slight variation in colour, so I think I'm looking at a blue and dark blue (chime in anytime experts!). Note the one on the left has a vertical ink smudge in the upper right corner. The one on the right has something funky happening in the lower left corner near the scroll. There seems to be an additional image.

Almost look like letters. Lower case 'nf'? like in Confederate
The printing on this one seems cruder as well. Possible forgery?

Next is what I believe is a #6 London printing (experts?)
This one has a small blue HN in an oval stamped on the back. Dealer or owners mark.

Very nice stamp James! I wish I could tell you more but I'm still learning about these and haven't started buying them yet as a result. These look like a lot of fun to track down and then #ID. Congrats on your new find!

jsut seeing this..
from your scan..
#1 is a Archer and Daily printing. the second is a Keating and Ball
You are correct about the 5 cent stamp as they were only printed in London.

Thanks for the comments ILS and Stampdad. I like them too.
Stampvirgin, I'd be interested in knowing how you can tell the difference in printers. Is it the quality of the printing? The one on the right is certainly courser.
As for the 5c, they were also printed in Richmond, which would make it a #7 as opposed to a #6. But the printing quality of the London printing is finer (of course you know all this) which is why I assumed this was a #6.
Here it is again...

...and my known #7 for comparison.

You can see the difference in quality.
Thanks again for all your comments.

Stampvirgin, think I just found the AD vs KB answer on Dr Kimbrough's site.

james.. there you go..
the main difference is a cross hatch vs a solid background.
as for the #6, you can see that it is a very clear impression so it can only be a #6, which was only printed in London.

also, if I was you I would send a 600dpi image of the second stamp, or a link to it, to John Kimbrough and ask him to take a look at it. I have not seen one with the extra inking at the bottom right. It may be from a certain position on the plate.

Finally got around to emailing Dr Kimbrough about the #11 at top right with the mystery image on the lower left corner.
Here's his response.

"What it looks like is part of the image of another stamp. Such things occur randomly when one sheet comes in contact with another sheet while the ink is still wet. This will not be in the catalog. Such things are labeled as curiosities or as freaks of printing."

As usual he was fast, and a terrific help.
