Hi all,
I just purchased a great very old album with some very nice stamps. Looks like they were hinged a long time ago and the stamps have stuck to the page. Any advice to get off? Once I get a few pics will post but have following:

Swartz
Boyd's
Pomeroy
Hussey
Boutons

Thanks for the help as always!!

If you're not planning to preserve the album I'd suggest clipping them out then soaking in warm water, just like you were removing them from an envelope.

Appreciate the advice. What if I would like to preserve the pages. I have heard that lighter fluid works well.
Will get those pics posted soon so you all can let me know what you think of my find :)

Try putting the pages in the Freezer. Leave them in long enough to get brittle. Them gently break them off the pages. This doesn't work every time but it does work often. A little practice and you will get good at it. You will hear them break away. Just don't bend them so far you crease the stamps or the page.
