I recently was offered this lot of stamps, but I'm not even sure if it's worth picking up or not. I'm totally new to this, but my assumption is that it's a bunch of common stamps that most people wouldn't even bother with. Is that the case? Would any of you even bother to take them? If so, what would be your max price? I am going to post the album I put all of the pictures in instead of posting them here since there are so many. Thanks in advance for your help. http://s1166.photobucket.com/albums...y/?start=all

RockySC,
In the 29 images, how many are duplicate images? They appear to be all fairly recent stamps and I can't tell if they are all from the same country. As a lot, including shipping, I wouldn't spend more than a penny apiece for them and that's only if I was trying to fill an album. JMO.

art, there shouldn't be many if any duplicate images unless I made a mistake. In total there are 1100 stamps there. Most are from the USA other than a small batch of around 100 or so. Most are also fairly recent, at least from what I can tell. |

The very most I'd go on a modern lot like that would be around $40 US. Fun sorting if you need to fill those areas but nothing of any value that I could see. 1100 Stamps X .03˘ = $33.00 |

Thanks guys. The total I was given was $20, so it's about in the middle of what you guys suggested. I may do it just to have something more to look at, but to be quite honest I much prefer looking and older stamps and trying to figure them out. I have a feeling if I got these they would just be sitting around in a closet. |

For what its worth, I would offer $10.00 and no more, just for the entertainment value. But, it would most likely still end up in your closet.

Lots of nice topical stamps (cats, dogs, horses, fish, butterflies,), some of the most popular ones. They can be sold again to recoup your money if you don't want to keep them.
edit: . . trains, ships, space, etc . . . granted most of the topicals are from CTO issuing countries but still. |

Not to sound like a snob(I'm not really) ,I've given away better than those lots for free. Its all dependent on your condition...how many stamps do you have laying around? What is your area of interest? If you can use them ,I'd go along with the rest and say 10 dollars tops. And if your going to have to fork out shipping then consider that as well. Good luck either way you go.
