Paypal are trying to ruin my life.
If the documents do not arrive in the next two days I will have to make a decision, one way or another.
Paypal will not budge and I have to say the longer it drags on the more I smell a rat.

It has been a very bad couple of weeks.
And again my apologies to all buyers, also those that did not yet pay at my request, who are also wanting their items.

Update.....14.30 Israel Time:

The documents arrived, and before the postman had the chance to put it in my mailbox, they were scanned and at the clutches of Paypal !
Now I am just sitting here biting my nails wondering what automated crap they are going to send me.

P.S. ebay keep sending me emails asking me when I am going to pay for items won !
So I keep replying, "Read my emails to you " !

Londonbus1....the end is near I hope !

We all hope the end of your problem is near. But I fear that your experience may be a foretaste of what just we might all experience in one way or another. That governments wish to put a stop to activities such as money laundering is a good idea. The purpose is to help make the world a more secure place to live. I have read that ebay's policy for international transfers of funds is now obligated by the government(s) for this very purpose.

However there is a down side; Thomas Jefferson said (This is a very loose quote since I lost it when my computer crashed a year ago): "When people give up freedom for security, democracy will cease." This is at least the gist of what Jefferson said. Security concerns did not begin on 9/11 but took a giant leap forward and I see no end of increasing government control of an individual's wealth.

A very scary part of the scenario, Michael, is your experience with automated messages. A machine can only do what it is programmed to do. I don't think a sympathetic human has read or even seen your email messages. I trust that a sympathetic human will soon receive and act upon your emails. I have had the unjoyous (spellcheck has just indicated that I invented this word) experience of dealing with automated communication but never anything like what you are facing.

I'm aware (i read most of the thread) of your problems with Paypal and ebay. I think also about the stamps I mailed to you and never reach you. Hope you get out of this mess, it's enough to drive an honest man crazy. Daniel

Londonbus, you are not alone.

I just got this message on ebay while trying to bid on something from a seller I have bought from previously.

Quote:

Seller not accepting your bid

•Unfortunately, the seller cannot accept your bid on this item. This can happen for a couple of reasons. For example, the seller may be limiting how many items you can buy from him or her in a specific time period. Learn more.

I seriously doubt that it's the seller that is limiting my purchases. When I clicked on 'Learn more' I was returned to the item I was trying to bid on.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

Karen

Thanks all for your encouraging words, support and stories.
Marty, yes I have to say the Customer support on any ebay business is just abysmal. Not only do you get automated replies but you also get no replies.
About 2 weeks ago, Skype took back my $10 that I put into the account in order to open it [Skype]. They said I will get it back when I re-register. I couldn't be bothered, I was just tired from it all.
Now I can bid on ebay items but I can't pay for them. Is this something they haven't thought about ? I cannot believe it if it is.

Still waiting for the answer to my Document uploads !
Daniel...yes, shame about the missing stamps. Not having much luck this end am I.

Karen....why would a seller want to limit bids on their items ?? Seems absurd...must think about it though, knowing ebay & Co. there must be a good reason !

Good question Michael...electronic commerce can be very frustrating.

I've been blocked from bidding by one seller on ebay, even though I've never had any dealings with him (georgetownlaw) and I've received nothing but positive feedback.

Adding insult to injury, I'm even prevented from emailing him to ask why he has me blocked.

With luck, your Paypal problem will be rectified shortly.

Steve

keehess,
This happens much when seller will not accept any payment but paypal.
Even you are having paypal it can be unconnected to ebay account and then ebay will not sanction paypal.
At base of advert from seller there is contact hit this and gain email of seller.
Then you can go around end of ebay and contact directly.

London,
Have you had any change of fortune yet?
I feel a great deal of sympathy for you, when things go wrong on the net it can be an awful bane that takes an age to resolve.
