Hi Selva

I like the light cancels on the stamps. I would like to offer a suggestion though, and I am referring to the top right 1 Penny violet QV. The stamp has the perfs cut and there is a bend on the left-hand side of the stamp. This particular stamp is really now worthless because of these defects. Since it is not an expensive stamp, I would suggest that you replace it with a better one. The top perfs on the Penny Red are close too.

Some collectors can get ito the habit of keeping defective stamps and this really should not be considered.

I hope you don't mind some constructive advice? <G>

Selva, I also happen to have of some of these small queens (in about the same condition) and am quite curious about them as you are? Are these very old or worth while holding onto? I really only collect older World Wide material that I find interesting hence this material. I really like the first 2 in your line-up Selva! They look very regal to me! I like 'em! I wish I could be of more help on ID and stuff but have no World Wide reference material sadly. Thanks for showing them!

The one penny red appears to be thr re-engraved variety. It should have a large crown watermark. The paper comes "bluish" or white. The perforations are either 14 or 16. If you could check the paper and the perforations, then a positive identification can be made.

Hi Selva

Do any of the libraries in your area have catalogues of any kind you can refer to?

No Bujutsu, libraries here do not carry any stamp catalogues.Even the national library. The only stamp catalogue available here is the local print which only states stamps of Malaysia,Singapore,Brunei, and North Borneo. Have one with me. For other stamps have to rely on the internet, friends and SCF.The last time tried buying a scott catalogue thru the internet, catalogue never arrived but credit card payment deducted. But anyway was refunded.Am waiting for a friend to bring me one from U.K. Rodolfo, thanks for the details. It is much helpfull.
