Nice buys - I was working on Swaziland this morning.

My latest purchases - A bit of a mix match.

Natal "NOT FOR USE" Label. I already have a copy of this but couldn't resist another.

Edward VII Postal Stationary and Newspaper Wrappers

24p Machin Forgery - Again I already have a single and a used copy.

How can you tell a Machin forgery? Is there any easy "tell"?

This one was quite easy to tell as the perforations were 11 rather than 15 x 14. The image of the head is also quite different when placed next to an original.

This one appeared in 1993.

Hi StampStudy and All

I am wondering if that stamp from Natal overprinted "NOT / FOR / USE" is a 'test' stamp for postal employees there??

Bujutsu,

My SACC states the following : 1904 2s6d Booklet containing 30 x 1d stamps in blocks of 6 of which one is overprinted "NOT FOR USE" which accounted for the 1d premium charged on each booklet.

Regards
Drew

My most recent purchase from right here on SCF from Philb I can't wait to add this to the Ohio collection as it has the Ohio cancel and address as well. I almost never can resist anything Ohio related. Thanks Phil.

I finally just picked up the first (of 4) of the large value U.S. Dept of State "Official" stamps. This is O-68

Not quite perfect, but that describes a lot of my collection. I'd rather have a "imperfect" version than not have one at all when it comes to the high value ones.

Three more to go - and probably at least 3 more years (or 30 more) to get there!

I posted these in another post but these are my recent purchases. I'm happy with them and especially the postcard from my hometown of Jersey Shore, PA! Thank you for looking. Nothing real special but fun anyway!
