Hi,

the middle one is Germany, allied occupation (russian zone, East-Saxony), issued in 1945.

Good morning Joe Stamps,
First stamp is an official stamp from Iran, dated 1941, not sure which one.
You know about the second one thanks to KlausR.
Third is an overprinted Turkish stamp of 1865, haven't found the overprint yet but will keep looking.
Hope this helps.

Hi Joe Stamps and DavidR,

The Iranian stamp is SG O838 10 dinars magenta.

The Turkish stamp is either SG 39 or 39a 5 piastres, which are blue and greenish blue respectively.

It looks greenish blue to me but it's hard to tell for sure from my screen.

In the picture the stamp is lying on its side. The star is towards the top with the crescent moon below.

Hello Nigel.
Is the Turkish stamp overprinted, or as intended? I ask because the image in my old SG general catalogue is black and white, and not at all clear! I can tell from the numbers you quote that your catalogue is more up to date.

Hi David,

It's as intended. The stamp was basically printed in two stages, first the background and then the text in black using a different plate. The black text was changed several times over the years. So it's it not the usual kind of overprint which is applied to change existing stamps.

The numbers I've given are from the 2006 SG Part 10 Central Asia catalogue. It was the first edition of this to be in colour but the early stamps still have black and white illustrations.

Thank you all for the responses.

This is such a great site!!

Sorry for getting back late, life gets in the way sometimes.

Here is a better copy of the turkish stamp it is not used with original Gum and NH, however with that crease.

Any Idea as to the values? Thanks
